Larp Trek is a comic strip I wrote from late 2012 to early 2014. The premise: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was actually a tabletop roleplaying game played by the crew of The Next Generation when the holodecks had gone down. It was born out of a deep if also critical love for both the Star Trek franchise and the messy goofiness of friends struggling to goof off together in an organized way, and an excuse to look at some of the contrasts and commonalities between TNG and DS9 from an in-universe perspective.
I really enjoyed making it at the time, until I ran out of steam; its web presence decayed over the following years. I've been meaning to bring the archives back in some form for years now, and now I am finally getting under way on that! I won't be restoring the old archive exactly as it was, but I'll be slowly getting all the strips back up and most of their surrounding context (plus some contemporary commentary), so that Larp Trek's archives can have a reliable, stable home on the web again.
You can start reading the comic at episode 1; if you're new to it, give it a few strips to figure out what its doing. I haven't gone back and rewritten anything so it takes a little bit to find its feet just like it did back in 2012.
